The sense of community that you feel when working with your peers, medical students, and the AAPI population is incomparable. It also helped me feel more confident speaking in Mandarin to my patients :) |

Staying at Cornell for her gastroenterology fellowship with hopes to become a Transplant Hepatologist Favorite APA memory: While I very much enjoyed my time organizing and attending all the health fairs, my favorite APA-related memory is reconnecting with other former APA team members, in all planned and spontaneous, formal and casual settings. This network of friends, teammates, and likely colleagues in the future can be really helpful in supporting you through academic/career challenges and personal hardships! |

Amy Junus
Psychobiology '19 Currently: Cardiology DNP in Maryland; New Mom of 2 Favorite APA memory: There are so many different roles in healthcare, and it's really important to take the time to figure out which one you want! Everyone works together for the general goal of providing care for people, but how each person/role does it can be more different than you think. Also, it's always worth taking the extra step to care for someone who may feel isolated from the health-care system because of a myriad of different cultural, socio-economic reasons! It can make a world of a difference in a person's overall health! |
Jeffrey Lin
